Starlink launches in developing Pakistan with NOC www.drbest7.com
According to authorities, Starlink has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Pakistan Space Activities legal Authority (PSARA), proving it meets all legal standards.
Starlink began operating in Pakistan after the PSARA awarded the NOC after Ministry of Interior approval.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is anticipated to license Starlink within two weeks, sources informed ProPakistani. The PTA has received Starlink’s licensing application.
The firm has completed three Pakistani registration processes and furnished the PTA with technical and commercial strategies. Starlink was registered with SECP and PSEB. It also registered with the Pakistan Space Activities Regulatory Authority.
After PTA registration, the firm may begin operations. The PTA is analyzing Starlink’s documentation to ensure its services won’t disrupt the network.
To improve space communication, Pakistan adopted its National Satellite Policy in 2023 and Space Activities Rules in 2024. These advances allow Starlink to improve internet access throughout Pakistan, ushering in a new digital age.
Arrival of Starlink to boost internet connection
Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja stated Starlink was temporarily registered in Pakistan at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s request.
“With the consensus of all security and regulatory bodies, Starlink has been issued a temporary NOC,” she stated.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) will monitor the company’s fee payments and license procedures, she said.
