Nintendo may distribute numerous remastered Switch games via third-party publishers in 2025 as its own development teams focus on the console’s successor.
In 2025, Nintendo will remake a GameCube and a Nintendo 3DS game in-house, according to industry source PH Brazil.
The Japanese gaming giant is also reportedly pushing foreign publishers to create Switch remasters. This plan seems to attempt to keep the Nintendo Switch 2’s game selection strong until 2025, giving non-Nintendo Switch 2 owners new content.
The source notes that these remaster plans do not postpone the next console’s introduction. The source claims that Nintendo is in talks with many big companies, including Ubisoft, to remake Splinter Cell Blacklist, Rayman 3, and the first two Driver titles. Publishing companies like Electronic Arts and Bandai Namco are also being contacted.
The Nintendo Switch 2 may offer ray tracing and Nvidia DLSS, according to sources.
Despite its predicted compact size, the new system’s features and capabilities are still unknown, and industry observers are anxiously anticipating its official introduction. Switch fans may expect many restored oldies till then.
