ASUS ROG Zephyrus G Gaming Laptops Get RTX 5090
ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) introduced the Zephyrus G14 and G16 ultraportable gaming laptops at CES 2025. These gadgets target gamers and multimedia makers who want performance and mobility with cutting-edge technology and stylish, lightweight designs.
ROG Zephyrus G14
G14 uses AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor and up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU. ASUS gave the G14 up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and 4 TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage for demanding workloads.
The G14 has a 14-inch 3K OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 0.2ms response time. The monitor supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, Dolby Vision, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 for bright images. Adaptive-Sync smooths gaming and media playing by eliminating screen tearing.
Its 1.59cm thickness and 1.5kg weight make the laptop portable. Its CNC-milled aluminum chassis fulfills MIL-STD-810H toughness criteria.
The ASUS G14 has a 47% larger cooling system to maintain performance. It optimizes airflow with 2nd Gen Arc Flow Fans at low noise. ASUS added configurable AniMe Matrix LEDs to the lid for alerts and animations.
ROG Zephyrus G16
At CES 2025, the Zephyrus G16’s Intel Core Ultra 9 285H CPU and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU increased performance. This setup gives gamers and professionals that need powerful gear greater power. Like the G14, the G16 offers 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and 4 TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.
A bigger 16-inch 2.5K IPS display with 240Hz refresh rate and 3ms reaction time makes the G16 suitable for professional gaming. The screen supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, Dolby Vision, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 like the G14. High-refresh-rate gaming is smooth and tear-free with Adaptive-Sync.
ASUS used liquid-metal thermal compound, optional 44% vapor chamber coverage, and 2nd Gen Arc Flow Fans for cooling. These features keep the laptop cool and quiet while maximizing performance. Despite its bigger screen, the G16 weighs 1.85kg and is 1.49cm thick, balancing performance and mobility. Like the G14, the G16 features a durable CNC-milled aluminum chassis and satisfies MIL-STD-810H specifications.
