Oppo disclose A5 Vanilla and Energy Edition of A5 with Huge Batteries

Oppo introduced the A5 and A5 Energy Edition to its mid-range lineup. Both phones join the original A5 Pro in China with updated hardware and design for different price points.

IP69 certification and ColorOS 15 improve durability and user experience.

Display and Design
The vanilla Oppo A5 has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate for smooth gaming and video playback. A punch-hole cutout houses an 8MP selfie camera, while an under-display fingerprint reader keeps the front clean.

However, the Oppo A5 Energy Edition has a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD panel for a lower price. Both phones have IP69 certification and ultra-thin bezels for a contemporary look.

Internals, Software

The Oppo A5 runs ColorOS 15 on Android 15 and has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 CPU, up to 12 GB RAM, and 512 GB storage. 360-degree NFC makes contactless services easy.

Oppo A5 Energy Edition runs on Dimensity 6300 chipset, has 360-degree NFC, and uses ColorOS 15 for consistency.

Cameras

A large camera island on the Oppo A5 houses a 50MP primary shooter and a 2MP portrait lens, with the other two circles for the LED flash and aesthetic balance.

A 50MP primary camera and 2MP depth sensor for portraits make the Oppo A5 Energy Edition a budget-friendly option for regular photography.

Batteries and Prices
The Oppo A5 comes in Zircon Black, Crystal Diamond, and Blue with a 6,500 mAh battery and 45W charging. Prices range from $180 for 8/128 GB to $275 for 12/512 GB.
