WhatsApp Tests Group Chat Member Labels

This new feature lets users put their own labels in each category. These designations will be visible to current and future group members but not outside that group. Even if WhatsApp is reset or reinstalled, the label stays until the user changes it.

The Messaging software suggests names like “Jordan’s parent,” “coach,” and “chairperson.” However, users may design any applicable label. It helps group members understand chat responsibilities, making talks more ordered and disciplined.

When Will This Feature Come?
As with many beta features, a public release date is unknown. As WhatsApp updates slowly, it may take weeks or months to reach all users. Its beta status means WhatsApp is working on it and will likely release it in a future update.

WhatsApp beta testers may use this feature and submit comments before its release.
